21 Weeks :)

This weekend marked the last time I will paint my toenails before Baby Smith is here. The belly has taken over. It also makes it incredibly difficult to put socks on. It's the little things that make me realize how real this is. :)

Today I am 21 weeks along! Only 19 more to go!

Adam and I bought his crib on Saturday. Of course, it's still sitting in the box in the garage. That's our weekend project! Stay Tuned!

20 Weeks! Halfway There!!

We have hit the 20 week mark! Adam felt the baby kick for the first time yesterday during the Michigan/Michigan State game. Our boy sure loves the wolverines already. :)

Week 19

Feeling that first kick was the most amazing feeling in the world. Actually, realizing it was more than just food digesting was pretty cool. Those of you reading this who have experienced pregnancy know just how magical that first kick really is.

 

Baby Smith is still a mango this week. Although you can't see it in the photo below, we added a special picture of Mango (Chris Kattan from SNL) to commemorate week 19.

 

 

We still struggle with getting the perfect light in his room to take these photos, so although it looks like I just got back from Cancun, it's really just that fancy Instagram hoopla. :)

 

I also realized that I look like a Packer's fan in this photo. Not the case.

 

All I can say is... Da Bears.

Weekly Photo Shoots :)

I saw this idea on Pinterest, except the mom-to-be used a chalkboard. I am a terrible artist, so I relied on my Microsoft Word skills and found two cute frames at Hobby Lobby that I could change out the pictures every week. To catch you up on our progress, here are the latest photos.

 

We're Having a Baby!

After four long months of secrets, we can finally announce that we're having a baby!

The past two years have had ups and downs that brought us to this moment, and we know the true meaning of "good things come to those who wait."

Back in November, I thought I'd never see this, but we jumped for joy when we did!

It was incredibly hard to keep it a secret, but we had to until we knew everything would be okay.

Mid-July is when Baby Smith will arrive.

I haven't blogged in quite some time. Grad school has taken over my life, as well as those kindergarteners.

2011 was quite a year. We have a new house and couldn't be more happy.

Adam and I are finally at the stage in our life where we are almost ready to increase our family size. :)

BUT FIRST We figured we need one last trip to our favorite vacation spot... MeXiCo!

We just LOVE the company, Real Resorts. (pronounced "Reee-allll")  We stayed at the Gran Porto Real in Playa Del Carmen for our honeymoon. Best.vacation.ever.

Today we booked our vacation to the Gran Caribe Real in Cancun. We're going during Spring Break for 5 days! I am almost counting down the minutes because I'm so excited! :)
