Glucose Greatness

Today I had my glucose test to see if I possibly have gestational diabetes. I don't know why all you ladies say the drink was so disgusting. If I didn't have such an empty stomach, I would have zero complaints. It tasted much like a fruit punch Squeezit from back in the lunchbox days. Cross your fingers I pass and dont have to take the 3 hour test. I did get to squeeze in a episode of Breaking Bad on my kindle during my 1 hour wait. I rewarded myself with Cracker Barrel breakfast afterwards. Seriously, they have THE BEST pancakes ever. I'd hate to give them up if I fail this test!

National Champions... almost.

Baby Smith is 25 weeks! Michigan played Louisville in the NCAA National Championship game. If they won, this mama had a new Michael Kors watch picked out to buy with my first place winnings from the bracket pool. Dinner at J Alexander's was also in the plan. Unfortunately, our boys lost, but not without putting up one hell of a fight. I am so proud of our team! There's always next year. Trey Burke PLEASE don't leave us yet!!

Sunshine!

Oh how I miss chasing that summer glow! I decided to sit on the back patio today and give Baby Smith a name. This is only the 10th time I've read through this book. I think we have narrowed it to a couple choices now though. Of course, it'll be a secret though.

Side note... I LOVE my maternity swim suit from Motherhood. It was on clearance for $20! I'm hoping I never grow tired of chevron print though. It has taken over our world. :)

24 Weeks and Baseball Season!

Happy Opening Day! We are so very fortunate to have great friends who gave us their tickets for opening day. These babies are going for like $200 to $1000 a piece! The weather is forecasted to be around 47 degrees and sunny, so I am hoping for a nice day and a WIN!

Update: At first the game was quite pleasant with the sun shining down. Until....

-it took 3 innings for a bathroom break
-EVIL WIND!
-the fella beside me burping up his hotdog and 85 beers. (Hello... Do you know about my sense of smell, sir? Not to mention that's just disgusting.)

We stayed until the 11th inning and made the excellent decision to leave. I love my reds, but baby Smith needed the warm car. Reds lost, but even witnessing a loss at GABP is better than seeing it on TV. World Series Champs. Calling it right now.
